7'' Coping Saw Blades

The construction of almost any type of structure can be made from structural steel, such as buildings and bridges. These structures come in many different designs. Steel beams must be precisely fabricated in order to meet blueprint specifications. Steel beams are often cut to the right size and thickness.

It is unrivalled in speed and efficiency, thanks to the use of three torch lights for simultaneous Oxy-fuel cutting. The ABCM-1250 CNC beam coping machines are capable of mitering and beveled welding on the top and the bottom flanges.

Another problem is that the flame can blow back when cutting thicker parts, even with light-wide-flange beams. This can cause damage to the plasma head.

The basic unit is semi-automatic, with oxy-fuel coping machines. The operator positions and finetunes the workpiece before it is cut. The laser can also be set up automatically to auto-probe and adjust the torch height. The basic unit has powered conveyors. Before cutting, the operator must manually measure and mark X on the feedstock. The optional laser measuring of the feedstock can also be used as an automated measurement system. The interface allows the operator input the material type to which they want to cut. The operator navigates through a variety of options by using the touch screen to see pictorial representations. The computer program includes all dimensions of structural steel AISC. A fully dimensioned deal drawing is displayed to simplify programming, save time and reduce operator input errors. The operator has the ability to modify or override the input. It can also be saved as an additional program, if needed. DSTV exported drawings can also be used to pre-programme your machine. An operator can use the wireless remote control to operate, start, stop and manage the equipment. The wireless remote control allows the operator to easily view the equipment from any angle that is needed to verify and maintain accuracy. Operator marks the material, moves the material in the right position and clamps it hydraulically to ensure that the material is cut correctly. The laser operator aligns the laser to the mark, then begins the process. The torch lightens and pre-heats the material. The operator initiates and finishes the cutting process, as long as he maintains the correct torch height.

Multiple axis positioning allows top & bottom flanges of the same axis to be cut simultaneously. You can easily flange bevel in weld prep by using pivoting torches that are programmed to the miter position.

Developed by Voortman, Raptor 3D CAD/CAM Software takes CNC innovation further by enabling users to program faster and more accurately. Inspect, modify and export part information directly within the 3D platform. This coupled with Voortman CNC technology means maximum capacity for fabricators.

6 Beam Clamp

The Voortman comes supplied with a 12-month parts & labor on-site warranty. Factory service technicians will make sure your Voortman Beam Coping Machine is up and running in no time.

We always recommend that your Voortman CNC Beam Coping Machine operator is someone who really knows how to cut with oxy-fuel. We can train almost any operator very quickly on the software side of the machine, but the skill and experience of cutting with gas is something that is built up over years of cutting by hand.

Steel

AutoCAD is and architectural software and works well for exporting flat 2-D pieces to plate processing machines. Where it falls short is in its ability to export files for 3-D shapes like beams, channel, angles etc. AutoCAD exports both DWG files and DXF files which are perfect for plates.

Another problem is that when cutting thicker portions of a piece, even using light wide-flange beams (e.g. the radius at intersection of the web, and the flange), it is not uncommon for the flame back to blow away, which can damage the plasma head.

Beam Coping Machine How To Use

Using a CNC beam coping machine is actually safer than using a handheld torch. The operator is able to operate the machine remotely and this moves the operator further removed from the cutting flame.

This machine is so versatile that it can cut practically any type of drawing. It cuts to any length, and it does not only do the job.

I Beam Coping

The CNC Beam Coping Machine, which is the world's most affordable beam coper, is the result a strong collaboration with Voortman (the number one manufacturer structural steel fabricating machinery).

We always train your operator how to run the machine using Peddimat as you are often going to have the situation where a customer arrives with a couple of pieces of steel that need holes or layout marks and you want to be able to produce them quickly without bothering your detailing staff who might be busy on a larger job.

Frequently Asked Questions

Manufacturers limit beam lengths to 60 feet due to transport issues. Others can make beams up to 80 feet long. The longest supported span using LVL is 80 feet. It is normal for continuous LVL spans to be between 20'-30'.

The blade is very thin so it works well with the pull. The steel frame's spring tension keeps the blade in place. This rigidity allows for the blade to move on both the upward and downward strokes, but it is only when the blade actually cuts that the blade cuts.

Install the coping saw blade with the teeth facing the handle. The coping saw cuts on the pull stroke, unlike a hacksaw which has the teeth facing away from the handle.

Coping saws, hand saws that have a distinctive U-shaped shape, are used to make curved cuts in thinner materials at home or in the shop.

Notching or coping is the act of joining two pieces of tubing together. This is a function of angles determined by the location of the tube.
